The company is duly registered with the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) and the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC). All of Genesis’s products are FDA, CE and ISO certified, with some certified and carrying the SABS labelling. Ditaba Mohapi is the Founding Member and CEO of Genesis Pharmaceuticals. Ditaba Mohapi holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (with specialisation in Chemistry) from North West University, and an Honours Degree in the same field, from the University of Witwatersrand. He also has a Marketing Diploma from the University of South Africa.
He was born and bred in the small and rural town of Schweizer-Reneke, which is situated in the North West Province. His dream is to build and run a well-resourced, world-class manufacturing plant for pharmaceutical products right here in South Africa. He says that it is about time that this country, which has the required infrastructure, skills and competencies, take its rightful place in the closely guarded, global pharmaceutical industry.
